Teertha is a barrister, mediator and collaborative practitioner based at 4PB. He was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2012. Teertha specialises in international family Law, including the international relocation of children, cross-border child abduction, and representing adults where there are allegations of forced marriage or of being stranded abroad by the other spouse. He is also highly experienced in the field of domestic children’s arrangements, particularly in difficult and complex cases where there are disputed facts. He sits as a Recorder (a part-time Circuit Judge) in the Civil, Criminal and Family courts.
Teertha’s aims in the collaborative process are to be cost effective; to provide knowledgeable, unstuffy, and straightforward advice; and to assist his clients to avoid litigation where possible. He can provide a neutral view of the likely approach of the court, conduct an early neutral evaluation, or assist with mediation.
