Ruaraidh (pronounced ‘Rory’) is a land and property specialist at Savills with long experience of assisting people going through divorce and separation, in both the collaborative law process and in court proceedings. He started his professional career as a land agent and initially specialised in the sale and purchase of agricultural and sporting estates throughout Great Britain. For the last 25 years he has concentrated on residential property. He regularly gives consultancy advice on value to major banks, developers, solicitors and accountants, but is best known for his technical reputation in high-value divorce cases. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and an RICS-registered valuer.

Ruaraidh is an accredited mediator with CEDR and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is committed to peaceful resolution of disputes wherever possible. He is a consultant surveyor to certain charitable foundations, a trustee on several landed estates and a non-executive director of a commercial property company.

Ruaraidh has been retained in numerous high-profile matrimonial disputes where the value of property is a significant issue, and has acted in a multitude of the so called “big money cases”. He regularly gives evidence in the High Court.
