Jeffrey is a Chartered Accountant with 40 years’ experience of advising families across a broad range of financial and taxation matters in different scenarios.
For the past 15 years Jeffrey has worked alongside solicitors, Counsel and others advising on matrimonial financial matters, including divorce and separation, cohabitation disputes and pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. To date, Jeffrey has advised in over 200 cases.
Jeffrey spends a significant amount of time, on either a party or a joint basis:-
- Openly explaining the financial realities of an individual family’s situation.
- Frequently, dispelling myths and eliminating or correcting misapprehensions and misunderstandings in relation to financial issues.
- Assisting parties and their lawyers to craft solutions which are practical and sensible, as well as being relatively easily capable of being implemented within a reasonable period of time, and are tax efficient.
- Advising on post settlement taxation and financial issues.
Jeffrey was a member of The Money and Property Committee of the Family Justice Council and of the Law Commission’s Advisory Group on Marital Property Agreements. He has lectured at Family Law Conferences and seminars in the UK and abroad and has had papers published in Family Law and elsewhere.
Jeffrey is an affiliate member of Resolution and was one of the first financial professionals to be trained in Collaborative Law.
